Fire Alarm Intiating Devices

Pull Stations

A pull station is a simple way to allow one person to alert everyone in a building of a fire condition. They are required at any door deemed an exit door and, in larger buildings, are required near exit stairwells.

Pull stations work by pulling down on a switch which then notifies the fire alarm control that it has been tripped. Once activated, the fire alarm control will then sound internal horns as well as activate strobes to alert the buildling's occupants. Additionally the control will simultaneously signal to the central monitoring facility.
