Fire Door Holder

In large commercial facilities with multiple connected buildings, fire doors are installed to help prevent the spread of fire from one building to the next.

The doors are held open by a fire device called a magnetic door holder. The holder is always energized on causing the door to stay open. When a fire alarm occurs, in any part of either building, the power to the holder will cease causing the doors to swing closed.
