Fire System Interfaces
Sprinkler System
When a building has a sprinkler system in place, it is often required to connect that system to a centrally monitored fire system. Doing so allows occupants of a building to be alerted of waterflow in areas they may not be able to see. This allows faster egress when a fire condition is present.
Sprinklers interface to fire systems in two ways, by monitoring waterflow and supervising the valves that control that water. Fire alarms interconnect to switches installed by sprinkler companies that monitor flow and movement of the valves (preventing tampering).
